We specialize in representing our clients with the purchases and sales of single and multi-family residences, vacant land and income property in the following areas: Lake City, Cadillac, McBain, Manton, Falmouth, Merritt, Marion, Tustin, and LeRoy.
BILL ALDERDEN Broker/Owner
Originally born and raised in the Chicago area, he moved to the Lake City area in 1985. It is here where he met his wife, Susan, who he married in 1989. Having an interest in real estate, he earned his real estate salespersons license in 1989. He started out working at a couple small offices in Lake City. Then in 1995, after earning his Real Estate Brokers license, he was asked to come to work at a "RE/MAX" office in Kalkaska. After just a few months there, he was offered the position of "Office Manager." His broker was kind enough to send him to Denver Colorado to learn more about the RE/MAX system. It was so exciting that he decided to come back to Lake City to open up a RE/MAX office of his own. RE/MAX Professionals opened in August, 1996 and has been the #1 company since 1997, selling more property per agent than any company in Wexford or Missaukee County.
SUSAN ALDERDEN, Associate Broker
Originally born in Cadillac, Michigan. She moved to Lake City in 1979, and married Bill Alderden in 1989. With the new real estate office growing at a fast pace, she decided to obtain her real estate salesperson license in 1997, just to help out a little around the office. By the end of the year she was working full time. After 3 years in the business, she earned her Real Estate Brokers License. They became known as "The Alderden Team."
In 2001 they decided to change the way they operated their business. They now work as a team. That was the end of having "Independant Contractors". Before, everyone worked independently, for themselves. Each had a separate customer database. This caused a lot of confusion when customers didn't remember the name of the agent they worked with, and when another agent couldn't help them. Now there is one datebase and everyone works for "The Alderden Team." All for one and one for all. It does not matter which agent you talk with in their office. The goal is to provide their customers with outstanding customer service.
VICTOR SCHULTHEISS, Associate Broker
Originally born and raised on a farm in the St. Louis, Michigan area, Victor graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. In 1975 he moved to the western United States, living in Colorado, Nevada and Maui, Hawaii. He owned and operated several small businesses in those states. In 2003 he earned his Real Estate Sales Associate license for Colorado and New Mexico and was active in the real estate profession in those states. In 2009 he and his wife purchased a home and moved to Lake City. He has earned his Michigan Real Estate Associate Broker’s license and has joined The Alderden Team at RE/MAX Professionals.
Joe McGiness, Sales Associate,
Born and raised in Lake City, Joe graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Buisness. He worked in Livonia for 12 years in supervision for Hygrade Foods. Moving back to Lake City with his wife and two sons, Joe got involved in education. He has been a college recruited and school administer for over 15 years. During this time Joe earned his Masters in Education degree from Grand Valley. Obtained his Real Estate Sales license in 2011, Joe joined the Alderden Team in January of 2012.
And last but not least is the leader of the team, Jesus Christ. Without his continued blessings thier business would not be possible.
