The public launch site is a six-boat wide, deep water ramp in the Missaukee County Park at the northeast part of the lake with parking for about 24 cars and trailers.
Fish species include Northern Pike, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Rock Bass, Perch, Crappie, and Bullhead.
Although the maximum depth is only 28', an average depth of 10' to 12' with many heavily sculpted weedbeds provides lots of interesting structure for the fisherman to explore.
Once a prime Walleye lake, Missaukee Lake is rapidly regaining its reputation with a varied and well balanced fish population through the mutual efforts of MCFISH and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
